In the event the Defendant (other side) disputes your claim at any point, we will need to further review the dispute and we will let you of any further revised cost estimates. We may agree a fixed fee and or advise you on the hourly rate (all based on the complexity of the dispute). We may also agree a blended hourly rate based on the fee earners dealing with your matter. 

 

Our hourly rates are dependent on experience of our specialist team members, and are set out below:

Time Frame

Matters usually take between 6 and 12 weeks from the date we receive instructions from you to the time we receive payment from the other side. This will however be subject to whether we require to issue a claim and whether the other side disputes the debt. The matter may take longer if court proceedings became necessary as this will be subject to various factors such as the Courts timetable Courts workload. We will advise you at every stage of the matter of all costs and time estimates. If enforcement action is required, this may also take some to conclude the matter and additional costs and disbursements shall be payable.

Key Stages
  • Take your instructions and review any documentation you may have.

  • Undertake the appropriate searches including obtaining financial background reports (this will be an additional disbursement).

  • Draft and issue a letter of claim.

  • Prepare and issue your claim.

  • Deal with various directions handed by the court, preparing the case ready for the final hearing and or trial. Deal with any applications if required. 

  • Request judgment if the matter is not disputed and obtain payment for you and any enforcement.
