Probate Pricing Information
1.Applying for Grant only for estate less than £650,000
Typically, applying and extracting a grant of probate takes up to 16 weeks. This is on the basis that the information prided to us is accurate in respect of the deceased assets and liabilities. The process may take longer if the estate is complex and or delays due to third parties which will be out of our control.

The transferrablee nil rate band allowance can be claimed if one spouse who predeceases the other then leaves their entire estate to the remaining spouse.
Please also note, disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as court fees and further copies of documents from probate registry.

Throughout the process we will obtain any relevant documents to support the application for the grant, liaising and communicating with all relevant parties such as beneficiaries or executors, completing the application and lodging with the probate registry and relevant HMRC forms, preparing relevant statement of truths and so forth.

2.Applying for Grant only for estate more than £650,000
We estimate that this should take between 5-10 hours of work and we estimate costs to be up to £4,500+VAT. This is generally undertaken on the hourly rate / time spent basis.

3.Administration of an estate
Typically, administering an estate can take up to 12 months subject to the complexity, value and assets.

We will handle the full process for you and this estimate is for estates where the person has either left a Will or has died intestate (died without leaving a Will).
Throughout the process we will obtain any relevant documents to support the administration process, liaising and communicating with all relevant parties such as beneficiaries or executors, completing the application and lodging with the probate registry and relevant HMRC forms, preparing relevant statement of truths, producing estate account and so fourth.
